An De Jonghe
Headhunter, Social Networking Expert & Entrepreneur
After obtaining her Master's Degree in Interpretation, An De Jonghe (1975) started her career as IT recruitment consultant at an English agency. After two years she decided to start her own headhunting agency, Ulysses Consulting, together with a colleague. When the business started to take off, An added a Business degree and an IT management degree to her skills, while co-founding a second company in IT consultancy.
In 2006, An`s first book on headhunting (*) was published. It was given much attention by the Belgian and Dutch press. In 2007 the book was translated into French (**).
Shortly after An started on a book about Social Networks and Web 2.0, and their impact on the consumer and the economy. How do Social Networks influence sales & marketing, customer service or human resources.?
"Social Networks Around The World: how is Web 2.0 changing your daily life?" has attracted much media attention before its publication date in February, leading to dozens of articles in 2007 and speaking engagements in New York, Argentina, Amsterdam and throughout Belgium.
Today An sits on the board of several companies, she continues to grow Ulysses Consulting internationally, and works as a speaker and journalist.
